Unique attractions at the mela

HCFI New Delhi Thursday,1st October 2009: Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, will stage a mobile planetarium at the mela venue. Giving details,      Mr. Anuj Sinha, Advisor, Deptt. Of Science & Technology and Dr. K.K. Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India, said that it will be a unique opportunity for the people to understand everything about planetarium in a mini hall within the mela venue.

The Deptt. Of Science & Technology will also remove myths by explaining science behind magic and miracles.

Dr. Aggarwal said that today’s science is yesterday’s miracles and tomorrow’s science is today’s miracle.

Both Departments of Science & Technology and Prevention of Food Adulteration Department, Delhi Government will also have a non-stop practical demonstration about food adulteration at the mela venue. Being near Diwali days, it will be a unique opportunity for the students to come and learn about any adulteration in food items which can be checked at home. Sample wise demonstrations will be held for checking adulteration in milk, khoya, sweets, pulses and spices etc.
